However, Bayern’s squad faces notable injury concerns. Alphonso Davies, Hiroki Ito, and Jamal Musiala have all been ruled out of the season opener, forcing head coach Vincent Kompany to adjust his selection accordingly.

RB Leipzig finished the 2024/2025 Bundesliga season in seventh place, missing out on European competition. 

Determined to improve, Die Roten Bullen displayed mixed results in pre-season, recording three victories and two defeats from five friendlies.

Their first competitive match of the campaign was far more encouraging, as they secured a convincing 4-2 win away at Sandhausen in the DFB Pokal. 

Head coach Ole Werner is set to deploy an attacking 4-3-3 formation featuring Johan Bakayoko, Lois Openda, and Antonio Nusa as the front three.

Nonetheless, Leipzig must cope without Tidiam Gomis and Benjamin Henrichs, who are sidelined due to injuries, which could impact their squad depth in this crucial opening fixture.
